My name's Kristen, and I'm an Anthropology major at Cosumnes River College. I'm 25 years old, and according to JKR, I'm a Ravenclaw. I've always felt myself to be a Slytherin, and a lot of my friends are, oddly enough, Hufflepuffs, so take that as you will.
I've got a bit of an addictive personality when it comes to my interests. When I was 9, I watched Back to the Future--really watched it, I mean. I immediately got on our brand-new internet-connected computer and studied time travel and wormhole theory.
That pattern has continued throughout all my obsessions--with Star Wars, it was lightsabres. With The Princess Bride, it was medieval and Renaissance history. Indiana Jones had me looking into archaeology--which, might I add, didn't actually have much to do with my major until I realised that wait, I'm following my childhood hero's footsteps!
With Harry Potter ... it was everything. I've been reading the books since 8th grade when my librarian forced them on me, and I've been in fandom since that summer. I'm now a non-voting board member of HPEF, and I get to do this project! Trust me, without Harry Potter, I wouldn't be who I am, so that's a very important thing to know about me even without this project.
I'm really not sure what else to say. I have two dogs and three fish? I knit and collect thimbles? I can't drink cow milk? It's all true, I promise.
